Argentine pine is one of ArborGen’s new bets at Lignum Latin America

ArborGen is one of the world’s leading developers of seedlings for the forestry sector. With over 50 years of experience in research of highly technological solutions of genetic enhancement, they have achieved the production of trees that provide forest producers excellent silviculture performance and greater financial returns.

Once more, ArborGen will bring its expertise in genetic materials of forestry species to Lignum Latin America. “We will bring new genetic materials that we’ve developed internally and others that were developed through partnerships. These are materials that have been providing excellent results, proven in the field. We want to bring that to our market, as another option to increase production volume and yield,” says Carlos Rogério de França, forestry engineer at ArborGen. “Our main objective is for the market to have the best genetic material available. A new product ArborGen will bring to Lignum is our Argentine pine material. We established a partnership with a forestry company in the neighboring country and we were able to verify superior growth for this material in Brazil,” stresses França.

As for their expectations for the fair, França says they are the highest possible. “We are inviting all our clients. Those who were present at the last editions liked it a lot. There is great diversity for the forestry market and the timber industry. The entire segment is very well represented by the best companies. This is the great attraction,” he concludes.
