Once again present at Lignum Latin America, Berneck promises to take the most modern and sustainable solutions in wood products. The Brazilian company is nearing its 70-year anniversary as a key player in the production of MDP, MDF and HDF panels, as well as sawn pine timber.
Berneck manufactures its products with raw materials originating from cultivated forests and supplies the timber, architecture, décor, civil construction, electronics, packaging and other industries with sustainable solutions, in Brazil as well as abroad. Currently, the company works with over 6 million planted trees, selected and transformed into raw materials. The area the company preserves next to its forests covers roughly 66,000 hectares.
Aside from these two industrial units, one in Araucária (PR) and another in Curitibanos (SC), a third plant will begin to operate in 2021. The third Berneck production facility will be in Lages (SC), with an expected production capacity of 500,000 m3 of MDF every year, resulting in a 26% increase for the company. For sawn pine timber, the plant will produce 460,000 m3 every year, representing an increase higher than 70%.
