ROHDEN GROUP ACQUIRES TRAMONTINA FACTORY IN RS

In a strategic move, the Rohden Group, from Santa Catarina, has acquired the manufacturing unit of Tramontina Madeiras S.A. located in Encruzilhada do Sul, RS. The contract was signed last week, and Rohden will take over operations at the plant, which spans approximately 33,000 square meters. The financial details were not disclosed, and the buyer indicated intentions to retain the current workforce at the factory.

Renowned as Brazil’s largest producer of doors, the company plans to utilize the machinery at the unit to manufacture components for its products. The acquisition will enable the Rohden Group to expand its production capacity and enhance operations at its factories in Salete, Pouso Redondo, and Taió, all in Santa Catarina.

Established in 1990, the Tramontina Madeiras S.A. factory specializes in pine wood processing. The facility has been equipped with advanced technology for efficient raw material utilization, maintaining a modern and well-equipped structure for sawn timber and utility production.

Founded in 1938, Rohden is recognized as one of the largest companies in the southern region of Brazil and ranks among the top 50 in Santa Catarina. Across its three manufacturing facilities in SC, the Group operates with approximately 100,000 square meters of combined space. Currently, they produce 6,000 doors daily, serving the Brazilian market and exporting to the United States, Canada, England, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, and Chile.
