In a joint effort between ABIMCI (Brazilian Association of Mechanically Processed Wood Industry), Sindimadeira-RS, Ageflor, Movergs, Fiergs, and the Parliamentary Front for Silviculture of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, the wood sector is mobilizing to assist municipalities affected by the recent floods in the state.

According to Sindimadeira-RS, the initiative aims to develop a coordinated national effort to donate essential wood products such as plywood, pallets, sawn wood, doors, pellets, flooring, and plasticized plywood. These donations are intended to help rebuild the devastated areas by providing the necessary materials for the recovery of damaged infrastructure.

So far, several shipments of materials have already been donated and delivered to the affected municipalities, demonstrating the solidarity and commitment of the wood sector to the community.
