“By bringing together timber industry professionals, forest producers, the supply chain, and logistics, our goal is to provide a comprehensive view of the current market dynamics, evaluating the behavior of key timber product segments and the significance of the Brazilian industry,” said Paulo Pupo, Abimci’s Superintendent.

In addition to national speakers, the event will feature international experts providing insights into the UK and US markets. David Hopkins, CEO of Timber Development UK (UK Timber Federation), will discuss the UK market. Brent J. McClendon, President and CEO of the National Wooden Pallet and Container Association, will address the US market for pallets and packaging, offering perspectives on conditions and trends in the United States.

“To further enrich the discussion, we invited these experts to share their knowledge and perspectives on these important markets for Brazilian products, thus contributing to the enhancement of our companies’ business strategies,” Pupo highlighted. “Besides promoting knowledge exchange, identifying trends, and improving understanding of current demands and dynamics, Woodtrade Brazil also reinforces the position of the Brazilian wood industry as a major player in the international market,” he concluded.

With approximately 35,000 wood processing and furniture manufacturing establishments, the processed wood sector plays a crucial role in the Brazilian economy, generating employment and income for around 380,000 workers. In the international market, Brazil exports solid wood products to over 60 countries across five continents, establishing the country as a key global player in the forestry product market.
