China kept its pulp purchases stable but increased its paper purchases by 270% and wood panel purchases by 139%.

Europe ranks second as a destination for Brazilian forest products, with a 1.8% increase during the analyzed period (US$ 814.1 million), followed by North America (US$ 810.7 million), which saw a 6.1% rise in purchases.

Another highlight reported by Mosaico Ibá was the increase in sales to Africa. Although the volumes are smaller compared to other markets, African countries boosted their purchases of Brazilian forest products by 17.1% in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2023, reaching US$ 59 million.
